Final results

Judgment day was a huge success! All in all, spirits were high and pushup totals were even higher!

A total of 38 people started the pushup challenge, and 17 showed up to take the final test on Monday 4/13. Of those 17 people we saw an 86% average improvement!

Eric Wallace performed the most total pushups with 108, and Mercedes Castromonte performed the most of all women with 49!

Sorry for the lack of updates

But really only one person (Sean) has been submitting their pushup totals. Some people mysteriously skipped from workout 6 to workout 12. All in all, people seem to have lost steam on this challenge...but once they get their shirts on in the parking lot on April 13th spirits will be high!

Great progress!

So we're officially at the point where the average person can do more pushups AFTER their daily sets than they could originally perform alone. In other words, the max set after the first sets is now greater than the initial test for the average person!

Status update - 3-12-09

Just a friendly status update to help motivate everyone on their way to 100 pushups! It seems like a lot of people were sore the first day or two, but are making some serious strides on the daily maxes!

Also as you can see the average for the entire pool of participants has increased steadily through the first 3 workouts. Unfortunately not everyone has submitted data for workouts 4 and 5, so take those for what they're worth.

Week 1 Summary

With week 1 in the books I'd like to share some encouraging stats with you all.
Looking at the entire group, our average max on day 3 was almost as high as our average initial max - meaning we're already able to do several sets of pushups AND THEN match our initial max!

Also, below is the overall progress chart - showing everyone's daily maxes. Great work everyone!
